Ginger and Nettle Gut Tonic

Ginger helps to reduce bloating, flatulence, intestinal colic, IBS and poor digestion as it stimulates digestive acids and also has antimicrobial properties which act against bacteria commonly involved in leaky-gut or gastrointestinal infection. Nettle meanwhile, acts as an anti-inflammatory and helps to regulate digestion.


Ginger and Nettle Tonic

  • 450g Ginger

  • a big handful of dried nettle leaves

  • 1 l water

  • 350g Raw Honey

  • 2 lemons

  1. Peel and chop the Ginger into 1cm thick slices.

  2. Slice the Lemons

  3. Place it into a big pan with the water, nettle and lemons and simmer on low heat for 15-20 min.

  4. Sieve the ingredients away and place the decoction into a clean pan. Allow to cool and blend with the honey, then bottle..

  5. Keep in the fridge
