Deep Sleep Tincture

While everyone has somewhat different needs regarding when and how they sleep, consistent and restful sleep is essential for overall health and well-being. This blend brings calm and relaxation to help you fall asleep more easily and sleep more peacefully.

Deep-Sleep Tincture

  • 1 part valerian root

  • ½ part hops

  • ¼ part lavender flower

  • Alcohol such as Vodka

  1. Grind the dried Root into a powder and blend with the other herbs.

  2. Add the herbs and the alcohol into a glass and stir well, making sure that all of the herbs are wet.

  3. Tighten the cap of the jar and shake well daily for two weeks before straining through a coffee filter into another sterilized jar for use.

Take 1tsp/5g an hour before bedtime and another 1 tsp just before going to bed. If you do wake up in the night, take 1 - 2 tsp, as needed.


PLEASE NOTE: Hops should be avoided by those who suffer from chronic depression and those with hormone-dependent cancers. Do not take valerian if you are also taking tranquilizers or sedatives and do not drive after taking it. In some individuals, valerian causes excitability, mild headache, or upset stomach. It should not be used with other medications used to treat anxiety or insomnia.
